Announcements IRC 2.0 on it's way

The Irish Robotics Club is nearly one year old. The last year has been great, from humble beginnings we managed to run 7 events and enter one international robotics competition last year. Not too shabby. Thanks to everyone who attend events and the Science Gallery for being our friendly home. So the plan for the coming year is onwards and upwards. Myself and Conor have been working on a "year 2 plan" to insure the club grows and becomes even more active. Firstly this website is being redesigned to make it more community based, allowing everyone to share and get credit for their projects (photos, videos, blog) and encourage interaction between members. We are  looking for a new logo/artwork for the site, so anyone design orientated who think they could give it a go would be much appreciated. We pay robot dollars,  in the future they will be worth a lot. (The green is #71A311 for those hex minded)

Secondly we are looking to increase our participation robotics competitions in the coming year, with more regular meetings for those interested in being part of a team. Our experience from last year was that the competitions were a great way for people to get involved with the club and we had great craic heading off and explaining robot filled suitcases to local customs officers.
